Skewer is a boss that can appear in the 
Burning Basement.
Behaviour
- Skewer follows Isaac simultaneously trying to move around him occasionally switching his rotation to be counter-clockwise or clockwise
- During his movement he can perform the following attacks while having a plank lodged in his skull
- Lodges a flaming projectile at Isaac's position causing a + pattern fire wave
- Performs a short dash towards Isaac leaving a fire behind and firing four flame projectiles in a + pattern
- Launches his plank into the air. After a period it creates a shadow on Isaac's position and shortly after falls causing a shockwave around
- The plank will stay stuck in the ground until Skewer finishes his fire barrage attack
- After losing the plank Skewer his previous attacks are replaced:
- Spews multiple blood projectiles around
- Ultimately stops moving and directs his head crack toward Isaac
- For a short period starts spewing a barrage of fire toward Isaac slowly following his location
- Fire barrage is normally impossible to dodge but the plank previously launched by Skewer can block his projectiles
- Shortly after finishing his fire barrage attack the old plank breaks and a new plank falls from the ceiling causing Skewer to fire blood projectiles in a circular pattern
Notes
- Skewer gets reduced fire damage
- Damage caused by Isaac isn't affected
- After taking fire damage shoots out four fire projectiles in an x pattern
- After launching his plank at the player Skewer can be pierced by it while it's falling which completely skips his fire barrage phase
- Skewer can be damaged by the shockwave caused by the plank's impact
Champions
Skewer has two champion variants which have a 10% chance of replacing his regular version
Red Champion
- His movements are much faster
- Lobed projectiles fire eight blood bullets in eight directions
- Falling plank gets immediately destroyed after colliding with the ground
- Fires waves of 3-4 blood projectiles instead of a flame barrage
- Barrage of blood projectiles is much easier to dodge
- Dashes away from the player and fires 5 projectiles at him instead of his regular dash
Black Champion
- His fire barrage attack lasts much longer
- Fires 1-2 lobed projectiles and a coal spider at Isaac
- These projectiles don't create a fire wave upon impact
- Spawns a burning globin instead of a fire after a dash
Trivia
- Skewer's name was originally supposed to be "Puncture"
- The hole on Skewer's head is his second mouth similar to the Wretched boss
